Senior Practitioner - Probation in the Community (Team Leader) Greater Belfast (Urban)

Working Well” is an employment support programme for people with convictions (in the community and prison) funded by the European Social Fund (ESF).

The Senior Practitioner will supervise and support designated staff delivering Working Well in the community to people who are under Probation supervision.  The staff will be based in PBNI and NIACRO offices.  The post will also be responsible for ensuring standards of practice agreed by PBNI and NIACRO are delivered. 

This post holder will:

  • Hold a case load of higher risk participants - motivating, supporting and advocating on their behalf, helping them to progress towards employment.
  • Work to develop appropriate external networks that will increase opportunities for progression and specialist intervention.
  • Promote the programme with all appropriate local stakeholders.
  • Be required to be flexible and, where appropriate, provide cover during periods of staff absences.

The Senior Practitioner will also work closely with PBNI Area Managers to help to maximise referrals from PBNI and communicate with PBNI staff about the progress of participants.

NJC Scale -Starting at PT 32 £28,485

35 hours per week which may include evening and weekend work
Duration: 
Until March 2022 (subject to funding)
