My career to date has been involved with human resources/learning and development. After graduating from the University of Stirling I worked in turn for Central Scotland Healthcare Trust as Human Resource Officer, the Confederation of Community Groups, Newry and Rethink, the mental health charity.
I worked in HR consultancy for a period and then joined Victim Support NI as Training Manager. I am responsible for the learning and development of staff and volunteers in supporting victims, witnesses and families affected by crime.
Working in the criminal justice sector has been an excellent experience for me and being on the NIACRO Executive has created further opportunities for me and for the organisation to grow and deliver services to people affected by crime.
On a personal basis I try to achieve a work-life balance, with hill walking at the weekends, and having time to relax. I am also a rugby enthusiast and enjoy travel.
