Working with Offenders and Ex-Prisoners

Most offenders are not sent to prison and those who are often experience multiple barriers to integration. The programmes we run help people develop a more stable lifestyle and integrate within their communities. They need support to help them become more employable, be financially stable, build supportive social networks, find decent accommodation and access appropriate health services. APAC helps people to deal with problems which may have led to difficulties with neighbours and the community.Base 2 is a crisis intervention service for individuals and families who are at risk of being excluded by their community,or are under threat of paramilitary violence.

Jobtrack is a partnership between NIACRO, PBNI and NIPS which works to increase the employability of offenders and ex-prisoners.NIACRO works with employers to encourage fair treatment for job applicants who disclose criminal convictions.
