Rosemary is currently an honorary professor with Queen’s University, Belfast, having retired from her post as professor of Childhood and Youth Studies at Liverpool Hope University in 2009. Before moving to Liverpool she worked in Queen’s firstly in the School of Education and then as Director of the Institute of Child Care Research. Prior to moving into academia Rosemary had gained extensive professional experience as a forensic psychologist working with children and young people in the education, care and justice systems and this work provided a firm foundation for her research into various aspects of the lives of marginalised young people.
